SECURITY

Hardened by default.

You're handing us a window into your money. We treat that like the responsibility it is. Read-only access, data isolation built into the architecture, encrypted everywhere — not as an upgrade, as the default. Bank connections powered by Plaid.

READ-ONLY · ISOLATED BY DESIGN · ENCRYPTED

LET'S BE DIRECT

You should be skeptical.

Your financial data is personal and powerful. Anyone asking to see it should have to earn that — including us. So here's exactly how the connection works, who handles what, and where the walls are. No hand-waving.

STEP 1

The Plaid connection

Bank connections run through Plaid, the connection layer behind thousands of financial apps and most major banks. You enter your login with your bank, through Plaid's secure window. ProfitOS never sees it. Never stores it. Never touches it.

STEP 2

Read-only. That's it.

What comes back to us is transaction data — the trail your money leaves. Not your credentials. Not transfer access. The watchdogs read the trail and flag what's escaping.

STEP 3

You maintain full control

You'll be able to disconnect any account, any time, from your ProfitOS settings. And you're never dependent on us for that — Plaid gives you your own dashboard, Plaid Portal, where you can see every app you've ever connected and cut any of them off yourself, no matter what we build.

THE FOUR WALLS

How your data is protected

01 · READ-ONLY

We can look. We can never touch.

Every connection is read-only. Watchdogs audit transactions — they cannot move money, edit records, or change your books. Not restricted from it. Incapable of it.

02 · BANK-GRADE CONNECTIONS

Your bank credentials never touch us

You authenticate with your bank directly through Plaid. We never see or store your banking login — the connection is built so we can't.

03 · ISOLATED BY DESIGN

Your data is yours. Only yours.

We're building member isolation at the database level with row-level security — enforced by the database itself, not by policy documents. It gets verified before any member's financial data ever lands.

04 · ENCRYPTED & ACCOUNTABLE

Built to leave a trail

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Credentials live in encrypted storage, never in code. And we're building the audit trail into the architecture itself — every watchdog read will leave a record of what was accessed and when. Not bolted on after the fact — built into the design from the start.

STRAIGHT ANSWERS

The questions skeptics ask. Good.

These are the exact questions we'd ask before connecting our own accounts. Direct answers, with sources you can check yourself.

Will ProfitOS see my bank password?

No. You sign in with your financial institution directly, through Plaid's secure connection window. Your login goes to your bank — not to us. ProfitOS never sees it, never stores it, and the connection is built so we can't. Read Plaid's own explanation at plaid.com/how-we-handle-data.

Can ProfitOS move my money or change my books?

No. Every connection we make is read-only. Watchdogs can read transaction data and flag what's leaking — they have no ability to transfer funds, pay anyone, or edit a single record. Findings come to you. You act on them.

Who is Plaid, and why should I trust them?

Plaid is the connection layer used by thousands of financial apps and most major banks to link accounts securely. Their security stack includes AES-256 encryption, Transport Layer Security, multi-factor authentication, around-the-clock monitoring, and regular independent audits. Don't take our word for it — read their security answers directly at plaid.com/trust-safety.

What if I want out?

You'll be able to disconnect any account, any time, from your ProfitOS settings. And you're never stuck waiting on us either — Plaid Portal (my.plaid.com) shows every app you've connected through Plaid and lets you cut any connection yourself, independent of anything we build. You never need our permission to leave.

Do you sell my data?

Never. Your financial data exists for one purpose: finding your leaks. It is not sold, rented, or shared — and it's not used to train anything for anyone else. Plaid's end-user privacy policy states the same on their side: data isn't sold to third parties and is shared only with your permission. Their policy: plaid.com/legal.

I'm still not sure. What's the smallest way to start?

Start with one account. Connect a single card or checking account, watch the watchdogs work, and read your first findings. Add the rest when we've earned it. Trust is built on results — we'd rather prove it than promise it.

WHAT WE WILL NEVER DO

Three promises, in writing.

Never move your money

No payment rails, no transfer permissions, no exceptions. Findings come to you — you act on them.

Never sell your data

Your financial data exists for one purpose: finding your leaks. It is never sold, shared, or used to train anything for anyone else.

Never hold you hostage
