Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information ProfitOS Engine ("ProfitOS," "we," "our") collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep it in plain language on purpose.

1. What we collect

• Waitlist: your email address.
• Beta and membership applications: your name, business email, business name, industry, revenue range, team size, and the answers you give us.
• Payments: handled by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
• Financial account data (members only, at launch): read-only transaction data from accounts you choose to connect through Plaid. You sign in with your bank directly through Plaid's secure window — we never see or store your banking login.
• Technical basics: standard server logs (like IP address and device type) and which version of our page you saw. We use this to keep the site working and secure.

2. How we use it

• Run the waitlist and send you the emails you signed up for.
• Review applications and provide the membership you purchased.
• Scan your connected financial data to find profit leaks and report findings to you. That is the whole point of the service.
• Provide support, improve the product, and keep everything secure.

3. What we never do

• We never sell your personal or financial data.
• We never share your financial data with third parties, except the service providers below who help us operate.
• Your financial data is never used to train anything for anyone else.

4. Service providers we use

We share information only with providers who help us run the service, and only what they need to do their job: Kit (email delivery), Stripe (payment processing), Plaid (bank connections, at launch), Supabase (secure data storage, at launch), Vercel and Upstash (website hosting), Google Workspace (business operations), Freshdesk (support tickets), and Slack (beta community). Each provider is bound by its own security and privacy obligations.

5. Your choices and rights

• Email: unsubscribe anytime using the link in any email.
• Bank connections (at launch): disconnect any account anytime — email support@profitosengine.com and it's done within a day. You can also manage every Plaid connection yourself, instantly, at my.plaid.com.
• Deletion: email support@profitosengine.com and we will delete your personal information, unless the law requires us to keep certain records (like billing history).
• Access and correction: email us and we will show you what we have or fix what's wrong.

6. California residents

California residents have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request deletion, to correct inaccurate information, and to not be discriminated against for exercising those rights. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under California law. To exercise any right, email support@profitosengine.com.

7. Security

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access credentials live in encrypted storage — never in code, never in email. Bank connections are read-only by design: the connection cannot move money or edit your records.

8. Retention

We keep your information while you're on the waitlist or a member, and for a limited period after, so we can meet legal and billing obligations. Then we delete it.

9. Children

ProfitOS is a business tool for adults. It is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

10. Changes to this policy

If we make a meaningful change, we will update the date at the top and, for members, notify you by email before it takes effect.
